The shape, sound, and response of the Artisan model are reminiscent of early Bach mouthpieces. Modeled after those from the 1940s and 1950s, it features a specially selected throat and backbore. It has the same cup, throat, and backbore as the 6 1/2AL for small bores, but a bass trombone shank.
