This was the most difficult point, because it affects safety standards. It had to look small while still ensuring safety that passed domestic standards. The balance between the outer shell and the inner EPS was very important. We remade each one many times and conducted repeated tests, until we found a shell and EPS with the perfect balance. We also checked the shape of the outer shell from all angles, including the front, back, and sides, aiming for a beautiful shape. ■Special design for one size = one helmet body: By using different helmet bodies for M, L, and XL, we were able to design a helmet that is smaller than before. Furthermore, we have succeeded in making it lighter without changing safety. When driving long distances, such as on long tours, the weight of the helmet is an important factor. ■Silhouette: The larger the helmet, not only does it increase the burden when wearing it, but it may also look unfashionable. This is related to the balance with the body. In order to make the helmet body smaller while maintaining safety, we had to go back to square one and redesign it from scratch to suit Japanese people. After about two years of trial and error since the start of the project, the TQ was finally completed. The helmet body is small, with beautiful curves and a silhouette that captivates everyone who sees it. This is truly the culmination of JET helmets. ■Newly developed comfortable inner pad: The interior has fewer seams and is partially made of mesh, making it less stuffy. It can be removed and replaced to suit your needs. The interior is actually the most important part. Many vintage jet helmets are available, and their rarity is often a priority. However, a helmet is an important piece of gear that protects your head, so comfort is as important as it is stylish. Simply increasing the cushioning of the interior will make it appear bulky. We designed it in Japan and contacted several domestic factories to find the ideal design.
