Maybe you're rebuilding a 350 and it's the perfect time to replace that decades old wiring harness! Wires get stiff over time if they're exposed to typical varying weather conditions, they can crack, split, rust and create annoying situations or even dangerous ones.

Check behind the headlight and under the left side cover. That should quickly reveal the external condition of the wiring harness, feel the plastic connectors to see if they are brittle and flex the wires to see how stiff they are.
