Thanks to their compact dimensions, the Labrador 39 speakers are very easy to place in rooms – they meet contemporary aesthetic criteria, and at the same time their musical performance is accurate, faithful, and lively.
The two-way Labrador 39 column has a bass-reflex port located on the front of the cabinet.. The unusual trapezoidal case is the result of precise measurements, and the chosen shape has its justification. Maximizes stiffness while minimizing parallel areas. It is the parallel-oriented surfaces that cause the formation of standing waves inside the speakers.. If a sound wave propagates between them, it reflects off the walls like a mirror image and an undesirable superposition occurs - a phenomenon in which a new sound wave meets the original wave that has just reflected on its path in the same place. In such cases, some frequencies begin to strengthen, others weaken, and undesirable distortions appear.. In such cases, the sound is often unpleasant, lacking in dimensions and details – a typical manifestation of cheap speakers. Thanks to the trapezoidal construction of the column, the effect of parallel surfaces has been minimized. Another positive factor is the small surface area of the individual walls, as small surfaces resist resonances much better.
Thanks to its construction and shape, it is possible to place the speakers in any interior, placing it on furniture, hanging it on the wall, or alternatively setting it in the corner of the room.. Labrador 39 can be used as main speakers in a smaller room, bedroom, office, or as rear speakers (side) for home theater systems. In all applications, the trapezoidal shape of the enclosure is advantageous, and the result will be a precise harmonic sound with a solid bass foundation, fine details, and excellent dynamics.
The enclosure houses a 5-inch Scan-Speak midrange speaker in a solid, die-cast aluminum basket with a fiberglass cone, and a precise Vifa tweeter with a 1-inch textile dome and ferrofluid cooling is mounted as the tweeter.. In this price category, the selected equipment is definitely above standard and makes the speakers a prime choice in their class.
The natural veneer finish with a matte lacquer, combined with excellent workmanship and innovative design, perfectly meets contemporary visual requirements.
Labrador 39 (produced in the Czech Republic)offers a wide range of applications. Their advantage is a precise and open sound, which also allows for long-term and tireless listening.
