George Benson is one of the world's leading musicians and performers, constantly fulfilling both roles: an expert improviser and an energetic entertainer. The GB10SE is his signature model, the Ibanez "GB10," and is an affordable version that retains the same body size, pickups, tailpiece, and other specifications. The flame maple body is small and easy to hold for a full hollow guitar, and the crisp sound and natural tone of the moderate volume obtained from the body, plus the floating mini humbucker pickups provide a wide, omnidirectional sound that is suitable not only for jazz but also for R&B and Saw. This guitar showcases the versatility of his musical style, which has expanded to include a wide range of styles. Features include a compact, fully hollow body that's easy to hold, a half-bone and half-brass nut made from the ideal blend of bone and brass for clarity, the GB-Special mini humbucker (designed to float on the body top, not touching the top), an ebony fingerboard for excellent response (Avalon fingerboard position inlays), the same tailpiece as the GB10 (Made in Japan/Prestige model), and an ebony bridge.
