[Koshu-ori with a glossy luster and a heavy feel] We use the "Koshu-ori" fabric woven in Yamanashi Prefecture, which boasts a history of over 400 years, and boasts high quality with deep glossy colors and an elegant and heavy texture.
[Traditional method of loosening weaving] When weaving, the temporary weft is removed while weaving, so the dyed pattern shifts slightly, making it look like a watercolor painting.
[Umbrella with UV protection] In addition to being water-repellent and water-resistant, it is also UV-protected. In addition to its full functionality as a rain umbrella, this umbrella can also be used as a parasol.
[You can carry the umbrella without folding it] You can carry it around even when the umbrella ribs are extended. This saves you the trouble of folding your umbrella when it's wet from the rain, and you can store it after it's dry when you get home.

Hogushi-ori, a traditional method of Koshu-ori
Hogushi-ori is a weaving method in which the warp and weft are temporarily woven, a printing die is applied to the fabric, and each color is carefully layered and dyed, and then the main weave is woven.
When making the main weave, the temporary weft is removed while weaving, so the dyed pattern shifts slightly, making it look like a watercolor painting.
Enjoy the warm and soft texture that is a little different from print.

“Koshu-ori” has a glossy luster and a heavy feel.
We use Koshu-ori fabric, which is woven in Yamanashi Prefecture, which has a history of over 400 years as a famous textile production area.
Koshu-ori is made by weaving thin, dyed threads densely and uniformly to create deep, glossy colors and an elegant, heavy texture, and it still boasts high quality to this day.
The special weaving method, which uses twin threads (twisted threads) for the warp and single threads (one thread) for the weft, is a unique characteristic of Yamanashi textiles, and it is a very valuable fabric that can only be woven about 4 meters a day.
By processing this material and making it into umbrella fabric, you can create an umbrella that not only has a luxurious feel, but also has high water resistance and durability.
Furthermore, because it is woven on a narrow shuttle loom, which is very rare these days, there are no perforations on the edges (selvages) of the fabric, which gives it a sharp appearance and no worries about it fraying even after long-term use.
