Content introduction
On February 16, 1964, Texas country blues giant Lightnin, along with his brother Joel, went to Waxahachie, Texas, where his eldest son John lives, for a family reunion session. (Only 3 songs recorded in March 1965) The singing and guitar of Joel, who had a relationship with Blind Lemon Jefferson, is also the height of Texas country blues! Also, the eldest son John, whom his younger brothers respect, is also great!A total of 17 songs with a rustic and homey feel are included.
"Lightnin' Hopkins 100th Anniversary"
Sam John Hopkins was born on March 15, 1912 in Centerville, Texas. The boy who learned guitar from Blind Lemon Jefferson eventually became the one and only "Lightning Man" and continued to belt out dirty, low-down blues until his death on January 30, 1982. Lightnin laughed off the trends of the times with sunglasses on and a cigarette in his mouth, and left behind a huge number of recordings on countless labels during his 70-year life. His blues life is truly legendary. 2012 marks the 100th anniversary of Lightnin' Hopkins' birth and 30 years since his death. This great bluesman's anniversary will be celebrated by P Vine, who has introduced his albums the most in Japan! Up to the fourth installment is planned!
