Final Final A8000 In-ear Monitor Earphone MMCX FI-A8DSSD Product Overview
Dynamic driver unit with Truly Belilium diaphragm
The A8000 uses a diaphragm molded from ultra-thin beryllium foil (true beryllium), which is said to be an ideal diaphragm material that is extremely lightweight and has a high speed of sound. Beryllium is lightweight with a specific gravity of 1.85, and its propagation speed is 12,900 m/s, which is the fastest after diamond, making it ideal as a diaphragm. The adoption of Truly Beryllium (Truly Beryllium) leads to improved time response and greatly contributes to transparent sound. You can clearly feel the sharpness of the sound rising up and the afterglow of the fading sound, and you will also be able to feel the silence between sound. Thin beryllium foil is difficult to process, and engineers worked hard to stabilize it as a product, but it can be said that it is a valuable material. In order to achieve transparent sound with such excellent materials, other parts of the driver unit and design/manufacturing technology are also required to be of the same high quality as the material. We have succeeded in bringing out the advantages of true beryllium by utilizing our experience in developing and manufacturing dynamic driver units in-house. * Conventionally, beryllium diaphragms are used to coat the surface extremely thinly with beryllium in angstroms on a resin film using a method called evaporation. This is effective as an improvement method, but the characteristics of the film dominate, and it is completely different from the sound and characteristics when the diaphragm material is true beryllium.
Stainless steel cutting housing with a “tetra chamber structure”
The volume and shape of the front and rear chambers of the dynamic driver unit have a big impact on sound quality. In particular, the movement of the newly developed truberyllium driver is extremely delicate, and the space inside the housing will be greatly affected. The design inside the housing can be calculated with a simulator up to a certain level of accuracy, but after that, there is no choice but to actually repeat prototyping until the desired sound quality is achieved. The inside of the A8000 housing has a “tetra chamber structure” divided into four parts: the driver front chamber, the driver rear chamber, which has a double structure, and a separate housing with the MMCX connector part in order to optimize driver movement. The driver is mounted directly to the housing in the front chamber, and it is designed to suppress unnecessary vibrations and make the outline of the sound clear. Furthermore, each of the 4 chambers achieves a low frequency that is both voluminous and tight, and also has the effect of preventing sound leakage.
Balancing the sense of elation that can be obtained with a wide range of genres of music and a good, universal sound
The sound was created by focusing on “the relationship between the sound field and dynamic range of music and the physical characteristics of earphones and headphones.” We tried to sort out the sound creation of music in recordings by setting two axes. One is a way of thinking relating to the sense of distance between sounds. In classical music, jazz, etc., it is thought that recordings are performed with an emphasis on a “sense of sound field,” such as a sense of distance and sound. On the other hand, in recordings that are often seen in rock, POPS, and anime songs these days, the sense of distance is not given much importance, and it is thought that the “sense of resolution” where each instrument or vocal comes forward is more important. The other is “dynamic range.” In other words, it is the range of changes in volume over time. If the dynamic range is large, dynamic musical expression using changes in volume over time is of course possible, but on the other hand, there are also music where recordings with a smaller dynamic range are preferred so that all instruments and vocals are always in front of the eye rather than changes in dynamic range. The difference between these ways of thinking does not mean which one is superior; it is a difference depending on the origin of the music and what is required of the music. In classical music, especially orchestras, the back-and-forth relationship in the direction of depth of an instrument is particularly important, and if the balance between the distance and volume of each instrument group arranged with a string instrument at the front and wind instruments and percussion instruments behind it is lost, the music will go bankrupt. Therefore, a uniform sense of resolution that is close to the eye is not required for all instruments. However, even in classical music, for example, in string quartets, etc., the dynamic range becomes narrower, and the resolution of each instrument becomes more prominent. Rock and POPS, on the other hand, do not require a sound field as much as classical music, and the sense of resolution is more important than the sense of sound field. These prerequisites are extremely important, especially when listening to earphones and headphones, and it has come to be understood that if target curves and driver designs are suitable for each, music can be enjoyed more deeply. Since the A8000 has even better time response, it has sound quality that is close to the D series and allows you to get a sense of elation in a wide range of music, from the sense of resolution in POPS and rock with a narrow dynamic range to the sound field in classical and jazz with a wide dynamic range. It can be said that the biggest feature of the A8000 is that it is not a sound created by creating a small number of enthusiastic fans due to strong individuality, and that it is achieved with a sound aimed at higher universality.
Tailored fit and repairable construction for long-term use
The A8000 achieves better wearing comfort based on the housing design, which is the optimal solution for IEM established in the development of the BSeries. The feeling of compression determines whether the earphones are comfortable to wear. The method of holding with silicone's repulsive force, such as claiming ergonomics and choosing an organic shape, seems correct at first glance, but force is always applied to the ears, putting a strain on the ears without realizing it, and fatigue accumulates. Compared to the shape that is organic and comes into contact with the ear with a large surface, we aimed for a comfortable fit without feeling oppressive by using a shape that limits the contact area. Therefore, it fits most people's ears. If there is no feeling of pressure at all points of contact, you can feel that the earphones are so comfortable to wear, and they have an excellent fit as if they were customized earphones. Also, the main body can be disassembled using special tools. It is easy to repair by the manufacturer, and is designed so that it can be used for a long period of time.
aluminum carrying case
The aluminum carrying case was designed to both fit in a pocket and protect the expensive A8000 main unit. Aluminum is cut on the part where force is applied. The interior is softly held by a silicone dome to prevent scratches. Detailed ingenuity has been applied, such as a partition board to prevent the left and right housings from coming into contact and being damaged.
