May chang oil is made from the fruit of the tropical tree Litsea cubeba, which belongs to the Lauraceae family.. The plant comes from China, but is also found in other Asian countries. (m. others. in Indonesia and Taiwan). Due to its extraordinary properties, may chang is called the "oil of peace". It is characterized by a light, fresh, yet sweet and warm scent with delicate musky notes.. It may resemble lemongrass, but is slightly milder and more complex.
The main ingredient of the oil is citral. (up to 85%), which is responsible for antimicrobial properties - it copes perfectly with bacteria. It has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that will certainly be appreciated by anyone with combination, oily or acne-prone skin. (or problematic in any way). Perfectly cleanses, tones and regulates sebum secretion without excessively drying the skin.
