Product introduction
A new studio album has actually been completed for the first time in 9 years by the supergroup Aka Seka Trio, which leads the modern Argentine folklore scene in both name and reality. The stylish sound, which combines the essence of traditional songs from the same country with various sounds such as jazz, rock, and classical music, is a model and representative presence for scenes that continue to generate many followers.
Juan Quintero, who has a gentle and gentle singing voice and is also an orthodox guitarist, is the group's frontman, and at the same time, he can be said to be a voice that symbolizes contemporary Argentine music. A rare piano player who expresses even silence, Andres Beausaert, the central figure in terms of sound, is also a key person leading 21st century chamber music from South America.
And Mariano Cantero is also a percussion player who can be said to be the leading percussion player of this generation, participating in various projects using rhythms from all over Argentina as weapons. The harmony of the clear singing voices of the ensemble, which has a stylish and grand scale view performed by these 3 people, is so beautiful that my heart trembles.
Domestic CDs of past works and best albums have been released here in Japan, and they have also boasted top class popularity and ability in this genre, such as visiting Japan under the name of each member, but evaluations were rekindled when they first came to Japan as a group in 2016. Andrés Beausaert also visited Japan under a solo name in 2015 and 17, and released the album “Andrés Beausaert” (NKCD-1015) recorded in Tokyo. Juan Quintero returned to Japan in 2017 as a duo with Brazilian pianist André Memari, and released the trio work “Serpentina” (NKCD-1017) with Carlos Aguirre in the same year. Each presented a new model that transcends even the boundaries of Argentine music, and established an evaluation as the hottest musicians in the South American scene. While solo work involving multiple projects is also in the limelight, the new work that fans around the world have been waiting for is full of content, including many repertoires that have already been shown through live performances. Along with advanced ensembles and performance techniques, this work, which seems to crystallize the power of songs handed down from generation to generation in this country, once again makes a strong impression that this group is the top runner in the scene.
It flexibly proved that it has built a new royal road in Argentinian and, by extension, South American music.
