Instructions for use

The descaling procedure may vary depending on the model. Please refer to the user manual of your device.

<u>Preparation</u> :empty the water tank. For machines with a water filter, remove it. Place a paper filter in the filter holder to collect limescale. Pour the contents of a sachet of descaler (20 g) in a graduated container containing 500 ml of lukewarm water : stir the solution until the powder is completely dissolved. Pour the solution into the water tank.

<u>Descaling</u> :place the empty jug under the coffee spout. Turn on the device and leave half of the solution (250 ml) flow into the jug. Turn off the device and let the descaling solution act for 20 minutes. Turn the device back on and pass the remaining solution. Turn off the appliance, empty the jug and remove the paper filter. For devices equipped with an automatic descaling program, simply follow the descaling procedure instructions from your device manufacturer.

<u>Rinsing</u> :Rinse the water tank thoroughly with clean water if it is removable to remove all traces of descaling solution. Fill the water tank with clear water up to the “max” level mark. Replace the carafe under the coffee spout system. Turn on the device and let all the rinse water drain out. Turn off the appliance and empty the rinsing water. Repeat the operation again. Rinse the jug and the filter holder with clean water.
