So, what does a MultiPro filter consist of?The MultiPro 900 consists of 6 modules. - Module 1This is the lower filter cap. Its function is to direct the flow of water in the filter module mounted just above it. - Module 2, 3 and 4These are the filter segments. Each has a heavily perforated basket-like structure. Inside is a filter sponge and a bio-ceramic cartridge.The design of these components forces the water to flow first through the sponge and then through the biological cartridge. The purified water passes through the module below to the next module without the sponge. This improves the biological filtration.- module 4This is mainly part of the pump design and its impeller. In this segment there is another (this is the third) sponge.- module 5Motor. That is, the water pump. This component is integrated with the outlet and flow control.
