Different glazes are for each color. The surface texture will differ depending on the type of glaze. There may be unevenness or variations in the application of the glaze. Please understand this in advance. HASAMI is a brand of modern tableware made in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture, separated from the Arita ware production area by a single mountain. Leveraging the reliable technical skills and efficient production system cultivated over a long history, the HASAMI brand was established with the goal of creating "tableware that can be extensively in daily life as a tool for eating." While possessing a Western and retro feel, it also conveys the warmth of Hasami ware artisans' handiwork, resulting in an exquisite texture. These dishes embody the desire to "create beloved 'tools' that are meant to be , well-, and worn out, possessing an indescribable, mysterious power." This versatile oval plate is perfect for various occasions. Inspired by American dinerware of the 1950s and 60s, it features a practical design that is easy to wash and durable. Furthermore, the series is characterized by its rich color variations, allowing for enjoyable color combinations like toy blocks. The slightly thick, substantial feel, combined with the exquisitely matched Japanese colors and glaze textures, makes this item truly special. The oval plates have a slight depth, and a nice feature is that they stack easily and can be stored compactly without taking up much space. They also have a rim, making them easy to carry, and are perfect for curry, pasta, omelets, and more. Of course, it also looks great as a serving plate or single-plate dish, so you can use it in a variety of situations. The series' symbol, "scissors," is engraved on the back. It's recommended to use it in combination with other shapes and colors from the same series, or as a gift.
