[Brand] "GLASS-LAB" (Koto Brand Certified). GLASS-LAB was born from the challenge of artisans spanning three generations in the downtown area, driven by the desire to "touch the hearts" of those who receive their work. Operating a glass processing business in Kiyosumi-shirakawa since 1950, they specialize in "Hira-Kiriko" (flat cut), a technique practiced by only about 10 artisans in Japan today. By fusing Edo Kiriko techniques with world-class sandblasting capable of drawing lines as fine as 0.09mm, they developed their unique "Suna-Kiriko" technique. The brand has gained attention not only for domestic exhibitions but also for showcasing its unique technology globally, such as at the Milan Salone in Italy, and has been featured in various media. A glass that touches the heart of the person holding it: "Suna-Kiriko" (Suna-Kiriko: Trademark Registration No. 6193156).

[Koto Brand] Koto Ward certifies companies that engage in manufacturing with superior technology and are committed to inheriting and developing it as a "Koto Brand." GLASS-LAB is a certified "Koto Brand" company.

[Technique & Material] When you pour a drink, the pattern on the bottom reflects onto the flat-cut sides, making it look as if it has expanded. It is a glass that provides beauty to behold, excitement when pouring, joy when drinking, and pleasure to the user. "Suna-Kiriko" combines two techniques: "Hira-Kiriko" and "sandblasting," which uses compressed air to spray sand for engraving, creating a completely new form of Edo Kiriko. While it may appear reddish, it is actually "purple"—a color known as gold-purple. It uses a double-layered glass structure with purple overlaid on a light blue base, with fireworks engraved on the sides. This is a supreme piece that expresses the sight of fireworks reflected on the water's surface. It uses custom-made "color-overlaid glass" often used in Edo Kiriko.
