While 5A and 5B are the standard for drumsticks, the 5AB spec, which lies somewhere between them, has been reintroduced in the Rebound series. This new model was inspired by the Larnell Lewis Signature Fire Grain model, released in 2024 and garnering positive reviews. The specs have been fine-tuned to reflect Larnell Lewis' requests and incorporated into the regular model. FIREGRAIN is crafted using only the finest, strongest wood, carefully selected through advanced wood selection at our own sawmill. The tempering process hardens the surface, creating a unique appearance, enhancing the grain and resolution, bringing out the core of the sound. It also reduces damage from chips, nicks, and dents, extending the life of the sticks. In response to the weight challenge, we've improved our manufacturing process to ensure consistent weight between pairs of sticks. While the industry standard for a balanced stick of the same size was previously 40 grams, the tolerance for FIREGRAIN sticks is 5 grams.
